Membership

Membership offers the opportunity to become involved with Train Mountain. Every member seems to have a different connection to railroading – some are railroad employees, some have a special story from a parent or relative, some enjoy the history of narrow-gauge logging railroading, some enjoy the magnitude of class-1 railroading, and some are simply railfans who love any type of train. But no matter their background, members create the backbone of the Train Mountain experience forming a community of railroad enthusiasts.

The skills within the body of the membership is just as diverse as their interests. Some members are good at fixing things, some are handy with circuitry, some are good with construction projects, and some are simply willing to learn. But no matter the skillset, there is way for everyone to be involved and to make a contribution to Train Mountain. There is lots to do, railcars need to be repaired, track needs to maintained, and the facility needs to be kept up.

And of course, membership is fun. Members are allowed to bring their own train equipment to run on Train Mountain track at any time during the year. Members are allowed to register for Meets, which bring everyone together in a coordinated way.
